This Privacy Policy describes how Isaac Chavez ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Faith Companion at faith-companion.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Profile information: During onboarding, we collect your spiritual background and preferences to personalize your experience.

Conversation data: Messages you send to the AI companion are stored to maintain conversation history and to extract personalized memories that improve future interactions.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data securely.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the AI companion experience
• To remember your spiritual journey and preferences across conversations
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send important account and service updates
• To improve the Service

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate Faith Companion:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic — AI responses (your messages are processed by Claude to generate replies). Your conversations are not used to train AI models.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data, conversations, and memories will be deleted within 30 days.

Your conversation data is used solely to provide and personalize the Service. It is not sold to third parties and is not used to train artificial intelligence models.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your conversation history

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Faith Companion is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
