These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Faith Companion at faith-companion.com (the "Service"), operated by Isaac Chavez ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Faith Companion is a subscription-based Christian spiritual companion powered by artificial intelligence. It provides Bible study assistance, prayer support, guided growth plans, a prayer journal, and a Bible reader. The Service is intended as a personal spiritual tool and does not replace pastoral care, licensed counseling, or professional religious guidance.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
Registered users may access the Bible reader (search and chapter view) at no cost, without a subscription.
1-day free trial: New users may access the full Service for 24 hours at no charge and without providing payment information. After 24 hours, access to AI features requires a subscription.
7-day free trial: New users may start a 7-day free trial by providing valid payment information. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.
Paid subscriptions are available on a monthly ($9.99/month) or annual ($99/year) basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings (Billing Portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at isaac@faith-companion.com within 7 days of the charge and we will review your case.

The AI companion provides responses based on publicly available scripture and general Christian teaching. It is not a licensed pastor, counselor, or theologian. Responses should not be treated as professional spiritual, psychological, or legal advice. Always consult qualified professionals for serious personal, mental health, or theological matters.
The Service, its design, and its content (excluding Scripture, which is in the public domain) are owned by Isaac Chavez. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Isaac Chavez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of your state of residence.
